MULTIRSOLUTION SPLINE PLANE ELEMENT

In this paper, the basic concept about multiresolution element is presented. Taking the piecewise quadratic B-spline as the scale function, a multiresolution plane element is developed. This is a class of low order, precision adjustable conforming displacement element. It can be used in adaptive analysis. According to the method and procedure in this paper, other one two-or three- dimensional multirsohition element and multirsofution plate/shell elements can be developed.
