ANALYSIS OF SEISMIC RESPONSE OF ISOLATED BRIDGES WITH LRB

The nonlinear properties of LRB and bridge structures and their interactive effect are considered for the first time. In this paper, the nonlinear behavior of aseismic bearings and ductile plastic hinges of piers are taken into account by using nonlinear spring element. Nonlinear time history analyses of isolated bridges with the input of large numbers of seismic waves are performed. When nonlinear seismic response analysis is carried out, the isolation effect is discussed and some valuable conclusions are drawn.
