STUDY AND APPLICATION OF THE EARLY-WARMING INDEX FOR ISOLATION BEARINGS MONITORING IN GUANGDONG SCIENCE CENTER E AREA

Through the measured data processing and the finite element analysis of the structure, the primary and secondary level early-warning indices are given for the health monitoring of isolation bearings in Guangdong Science Center. Based on the boundary characteristics of isolation bearings, a formula for the horizontal boundary displacement of the isolation bearing under vertical compression is deduced. Referring to the control value of the isolation bearing deformation under the rare earthquake, the third and Fourth level early-warning parameters are set up, which may provide effective parameters for the early-warning system setting.
